In June of 1994, the Brentwood Police Officers’ Association was formed and a preliminary set of by-laws was adopted and officers were elected to serve. At that point Brentwood was a small farm community with a smaller police department.
In the early 2000’s the City of Brentwood began to grow substantially and the in order to accommodate the growth in population more police officers were hired. Today BPOA has 50 members made up of active, retired and honorary members. Five elected Board Members carry out the duties and responsibilities of representing the membership on matters involving wages, benefits and working conditions, and also providing fraternal services and benefits that our members use professionally and personally.
Our goal is to meet the need of our community along with members. Working together for the growth of the city and department.
